How much does a pre-wedding shoot cost in India?

Prices vary with the city, the photographer and how far you travel, but the shape of a shoot is fairly standard. Here is what to expect, based on published packages and studio price guides in 2026.
A one-day local shoot
A budget or mid-range photographer usually covers two or three locations and two or three outfits in a day, timed around sunrise and sunset, and delivers 25 to 80 edited photos. Expect roughly ₹12,000 to ₹60,000 before any monument fees. Well-known studios in Jaipur quote around ₹20,000 to ₹35,000 for a day.
The costs couples forget
- Monument photography fees: around ₹5,000 a day per monument in Rajasthan, sometimes more through a studio.
- Outfit rental and a make-up artist for each change.
- Travel and stay for the two of you, and for the photographer if you go to another city.
- Cabs between locations, and early-morning starts that mean an extra hotel night.
- Reels and a cinematic video are often priced separately.
Shooting abroad
Dubai, Bali, Thailand and Turkey are the favourites of couples who shoot abroad. On top of the photographer you pay flights, visas, stays and often permits, so a destination shoot easily costs several times a local one.
If the trip is the point, it is worth it. If the photos are the point, there are now far cheaper ways to get them.
