What is bal manuhar?
Manuhar is a loving, insistent request, the kind nobody can say no to. Bal manuhar is that request in the children’s voice: a little verse on the card, signed with their names.
It’s a Marwari and Rajasthani custom that Hindi-speaking families everywhere have come to love.
Where it goes on the card
Near the end, after the families who welcome the guests. Sign it with the children’s names, from the oldest to the youngest, or all of them together.

The verse speaks for the children, so choose it by who is getting married to them: didi, bhaiya, mama, bua or chacha.
